The Fractal Sea

A short voyage into Chaos

The images on the gallery pages - the "zones" - will open within your current browser window via the magic of Lightbox, a javascript application that creates an overlay on which the image is displayed as if in a new window. Clicking the image or on the dark background will close the overlaid image and bring back the page you were viewing, or you can press "x" on the keyboard.

If you are using an antique web browser or have javascript disabled (not Java, that is a different thing altogether), the images will be shown in the normal manner. Use your "Back" button or whatever keyboard command you are accustomed to in order to return to the page.

I added this feature because: it is much more esthetically pleasing than showing naked inages in a blank widow, is simpler than creating separate pages for each image, doesn't take a lot of extra code, and keeps the viewer on the page until ready to leave.

The newest gallery, a motley collection of fractal delights from the past year's voyages, is of old-fashioned layout because I wanted to throw a lot of sh*t in all at once. I need to change some other things here...

This is where it all begins:

Gah, still having some cross-browser itch.
