MP3 - zip
A collection of music from a short period in which I was obsessed with tracking, mainly 2003-2004. Weapon of choice: Modplug Tracker, which also handled the conversion to mp3. Genre: ayah-kayah, I don't know what to call any of it. Highly varied is all I can say. Like snowflakes, no two alike. Kansas Nights is my choice for all-around best. Close your eyes and feel the lonely night fall in a strange place.
7-zip is recommended for all compression and decompression.
- 98 Sings -- Windows sounds that Microsoft might not recognize.
- My Lucky Black Cat -- He wasn't so lucky after all, but in this odd little tune he's still playing with his buddy. The meowing is not real, it is just me having fun manipulating sound.
- The Black Swan -- A tone poem with no story.
- Everything Is Magic -- Loosely based on something I used to trance out on my guitar with. This was the last one I finished; it took a long time.
- Fire Visions -- Gaze into the flames with me.
- My Head's Morning Dance -- It was there when I got up. I had to get it out.
- Happy Dance -- I carried the melody around for over thirty years. Think chaotic-medieval.
- Kansas Nights -- Born out of an epic fantasy. Mournful sounds of trains in the night. All sound samples were synthesized and lovingly warped in my own computer.
- Lamb Stew -- Yeah, sure, I can play the piano -- with my mouse!
- Monomodomania -- A tour-de-force using a single tiny sound sample and a lot of different envelopes. I'm quite fond of it.
- The Return of Spring -- A wild pagan celebration. It needed a little mellowing out, and I finally got around to editing it.
