These are some of the sites that I have designed and built -- not with FrontPage or other WYSIWYG bloatware, but with honest text editors. Most of the image work is done with IrfanView. I use Free Commander to organize and upload files.
Several sites use WordPress as a mini content management system. I tailor the appearance and then, in some cases, give the site owner a few pointers and turn 'em loose.
JAK's Place -- I work there. This one uses WordPress with a static intro page.
Edward John DiMaio -- with matching WordPress theme. A work in progress.
WDOR, long-lived local radio station, hosted locally as well.
Community Wind Energy, devoted to renewable resources.
The Land of Fractalia
On Angelfire - ack, the ads and cookies - but flourishing for several years now. Proud member of the Infinite Fractal Loop, its purpose is to display a selection of fractal images that is occasionally changed.
Cupola House - a National Historic Landmark, the house was built in 1871. It now houses a museum and elegant shops. I have passed on care of this site, after seeing it through a server move and setting up a shopping cart.
Rainbow Rescue of Wisconsin
Volunteer work for a non-profit animal rescue organization, colorful because of the rainbow theme. It was on a "free" host. It has vanished more than once, and it's gone again. Stay away from web1000. There are honest free hosts around, they just weren't handily available when I needed to get this one on line.
Arual's lil house on the peninsula ~ the nth remake of my original first site. It is gone for good vanished into my ISP's idea of progress. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I first built it while learning HTML. See the almost-original now in my
archived version. It's a hoot. M'gawd, I used
tables!
